Love him or hate him, nobody can deny the influence Bill Gates has had on the world of technology, the popularity of the personal computer and the growth of the internet. In this short video clip of Gates being interviewed on television he comments on how he sees the television world changing into the future. The main point he makes is that television will follow the example of web 2.0 and become far more interactive and customized. For the most part television is still very unidirectional with content being provided to a passive audience who have little choice but to watch the programming and advertising that has been chosen by the studio for broadcast at that time. His opinion is that the experience will become far more tailored to individual viewers needs in the future.
