Social Mention (socialmention.com) allows you to quickly track and read what people think about your product, your business, you, or any topic, in real-time across the internet’s social media. It directly monitors more than 100 social media bodies including Google, Digg, YouTube, FriendFeed, Facebook, and Twitter.

- Sentiment refers to the ratio of discussions that are positive in comparison to those that are negative.
- Passion gauges the probability that people who are discussing your business will continue to do so. For example, you may have a group of passionate supporters who talk about your brand or business all the time. This gives you a high Passion score. In contrast, if mentions are submitted by miscellaneous people, your Passion score will be lower.
- Reach measures the scope of influence.
